Our Story

Our Story

Writoholic was founded by two passionate content experts who began their respective journeys in the e-learning, research writing, and academic content industry more than a decade ago. Our experience and knowledge combined with a zeal to help the international student community and freelance content entrepreneurs alike led us to establish our first business venture called Wordveda Learning Solutions Pvt. Ltd in 2018.

It was through our experience in leading this venture that we were able to see the rising demand-supply gap for quality content across all domains & types of content writing and came up with the idea of offering a suite of content writing services such as SEO writing, research writing, and blog writing, etc. to cater to the content needs of individuals and businesses alike.

During the beginning of our venture, we strategized to hire content professionals from a diverse range of expertise and we had to partially depend on recruitment firms to do the headhunting for us. This quickly made us come face to face with the fact that most recruitment agencies are industry experts at best and lacked an intricate understanding of the key competencies and skills of content writers as per specific job roles. In other words, we simply could not find a recruitment partner specializing in the hiring of content roles such as academic research writers, SEO writers, video script writers, etc. The candidates screened, shortlisted, and sent our way lacked an adequate understanding of the job role and key skills required to be successful at the job.

We soon realized the need for a specialized recruitment partner with expertise in talent acquisition strategies for a wide range of content writing roles irrespective of industry. We quickly realized that such recruitment partners do not exist and we had to solve the problem through the complete takeover of the recruitment process internally. The collective efforts of our team members and the experience of hiring for our content writing organization since 2018 gave us the conviction that when content specialists turn recruiters, they save precious time in the hiring process by being able to judge a candidate’s expertise to a significant extent on their own. Market research and industry interactions tell us that entrepreneurs, new startups, and decision-makers of numerous small & micro enterprises share our pain while trying to hire special content talent during their initial years. This helped us in expanding our vision to include a specialized content writer recruitment consultancy for them!

But we didn’t stop there. We also extended our recruitment expertise to the UK and other English-speaking countries, helping businesses hire virtual, dedicated content writers from India—providing them with top-tier writing talent at a fraction of the cost in their home countries.

When trying to hire quality content experts, we stumbled upon another important gap in the industry—candidates with recognizable comprehension and grammar skills were not yet job-ready.

While several online as well as offline courses touched upon the basics and even claimed to provide detailed insights into various aspects of content writing—they all essentially lacked one single most important aspect hands-on comprehensive training on a wide range of content types capable of instilling the confidence to successfully perform in the popular content job roles. We turned the tables and ensured 80% weight on the practical training to address the gap.

We are passionate about building a highly skilled content community and we came up with the idea of launching a comprehensive workshop-based training program that doesn’t just teach aspects of content writing but builds confidence to perform in a job from the first day itself.
